This page is really for the benefit of all my friends and past clients who were lucky enough to have known or fished with Dio, my Bernese Mountain Dog and very best friend. Dio was very much part of the experience when catfishing with Caribasol on the Ebro. Not only was he our advance warning system while night fishing. But he also played a big part in ensuring that no surplus food was ever left lying around or go to waste! He would always appear out of the bushes when there was a packet of biscuits or sweets being opened. I am sure that most of my clients trophy shots will inevitably have a head or a tail of Dio somewhere in the background.

Unfortunately Dio´s life was cut short,not quite making it to his 5th Birthday. However he had a life that most dogs would envy. Over a quarter of his life was spent camping with me, his side kick Scruffy and of course my clients on the river bank. He made lots of friends and only scared a few fishermen who were cheeky enough to try and set up too close to us when they arrived during the night!

Dio is now at rest in an Orchard next to my favorite swim on the Ebro at Chiprana. I would like to thank the owners of the land, Antonio and Rosa Marie Casamian Rabinad for allowing me to bury Dio in such a peaceful place.
