Catch Report - About us - Accomodation - Caribasol Holiday Rentals in Spain

The famous river Ebro in Spain is a BIG FISH venue, it holds countless specimen carp (up to 60lbs) and thousands of catfish (record to date 226lb). 100lb plus catfish are caught as regular as a mid double in your local day ticket water!

Cariba Sol´s fishing guide Steve will set you up in a swim on the bank as soon as you arrive(no matter what time of day or night)! Steve knows his clients want to maximise their hours on the bank, especially if you have only booked for a short trip! Static fishing from the bank is the preferred method of fishing, whether live baiting or pellet fishing. There is always a boat available if you want to try lure or drift fishing. Year after year results are improving. More and more clients are going home with PB´s and better still 100lb+ catfish. Carp sizes are steadily growing each year. The average common being caught is around the 27lb mark! When fishing is at its best 2,3 and four rods tearing off at once is nothing unusual! Your guide does not live locally, so you can rest assured he does not want to go home and put his feet up at night! He will be working 24/7 to ensure you get fish on the bank! Even if you want to go back to the accommodation, he will hold the swim for your return in the morning! If things are not happening then we will move to another river or town to ensure you do catch fish!

A 150,148 and 122 caught within 3 hours of arriving .....John Thomson´s PB Albino Catfish 142lb

The Weather in Spain makes long sessions by the bank far more comfortable. From March- November sun tan lotion and sunglasses are items not to forget! Even from November-February the conditions are far different from the UK and you will certainly get MORE action and LESS numb fingers. There are not many rules and regs for fishing in Spain but the laws are policed enthusiastically by the local Guardia Civil. The most annoying rule is the hours you can legally fish. 6am until 1hour after darkness falls for Carp fishing and 6am until midnight for Catfish.Bivvys and tents are not allowed but technically oval brollies are just shelters from the rain and so are! The normal format for hard core anglers is to set up a swim with shelters(when required) and use the accomodation for showering, a decent sleep or a bolt hole if the weather gets grim. Steve will keep the swim if you decide you need a proper nights sleep.Rods should be reeled in at Midnight. Then up at 5am to start baiting the rods ready to continue again at 6am. Night fishing IS possible subject to a few conditions! For the more recreational anglers, you are dropped off at your accomodation each evening and left to sample the restaurants and bars of Mequinenza or Caspe . You can choose what time you want to be picked up the next morning. We understand that you may not want to fish all day and all night so like our advertising states:We will tailor make the trip to suit you.

Insurance is not included but most of the clinics accept your E111 if you bring it!

IF YOU BLANK, YOUR NEXT TRIP WILL BE FREE *
